Ingredients (for approx. 4 persons)
- 600 g chicken fillet, diced
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon mustard (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Skewers (wood or metal)
Preparation method
- Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning (this is not necessary with metal skewers).
- Make a marinade of honey, garlic, soy sauce, olive oil, mustard, salt and pepper.
- Place the chicken cubes in a bowl and mix well with the marinade. Let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour (preferably longer).
- Thread the chicken pieces onto the skewers.
- Grill the skewers on a hot barbecue (or grill pan) for about 10–12 minutes, turning regularly and brushing with any remaining marinade as needed.
- Serve warm, possibly with a fresh salad or grilled vegetables.
Tip: Add pieces of bell pepper, zucchini, or red onion to the skewers for extra color and flavor!
