Meet the beekeeper

Meet our local beekeeper from Romania, where our Belgian honey comes from. With no fewer than 650 hives spread across various locations, he ensures a diverse range of honey varieties. Depending on where the bees gather their nectar, different types of honey are produced. The hives where our Acacia honey comes from are located in nature, where a huge number of Acacia flowers bloom.

Product description

Acacia honey is a type of honey made by collecting nectar from the white blossoms of the acacia tree.

Taste

Acacia honey is renowned for its soft and subtle flavor characteristics. This variety of honey exhibits a delicate sweetness and a soft floral note. It is beloved by many for its adaptability and ability to blend seamlessly with other flavors.

Background

Honingwinkel's acacia honey is distinguished by its pleasantly soft, liquid texture. It's easy to work with and mix with other ingredients. This variety makes it ideal for a variety of culinary applications.

How to eat/use this honey

Acacia honey from Honingwinkel offers a multitude of uses. You can simply take a spoonful and consume it directly. Let the honey melt on your tongue or swallow it. Another option is to mix the honey with your favorite yogurt or other dishes, giving them a sweet and aromatic note.

Don't overdo it! If you choose to give honey to your teen, make sure the tea doesn't exceed 40°C (104°F). At higher temperatures, the enzymes can break it down, potentially affecting its nutritional value and properties.

Shelf life

In terms of sustainability, it doesn't actually have a strict sustainability standard. However, it can lose its flavor over time. To enjoy the best quality, it becomes difficult to improve it within two years of purchase.

Allergen information

Please note that Honingwinkel acacia honey is not suitable for children under 1 year of age or people with allergies to bee products. These individuals may experience allergic reactions.
