Product Description

Country of origin

Romania

Product description

Acacia honey is a type of honey made by bees that collect nectar from the white blossoms of the acacia tree. The honey has a fairly clear color and crystallizes poorly.

Taste

Acacia honey has a soft and neutral taste.

Texture

Honingwinkel's acacia honey has a soft, liquid texture.

How can the honey be used/eaten?

You can use and consume Honingwinkel's acacia honey in many different ways. Here are some ideas:

1. Spooning:

Simply eating honey with a spoon is a classic way to savor its sweet flavor. Take a spoonful of honey and let it melt slowly on your tongue for a delightful experience.

2. Add to dishes:

You can also use acacia honey as a healthy and natural sweetener in various dishes. Stir it into yogurt, oatmeal, or cereal for a touch of sweetness. It's also a tasty addition to dressings, sauces, and marinades.

3. Sweetening of drinks:

Acacia honey is an excellent choice for sweetening hot drinks like tea and coffee. However, be careful not to let the temperature of the drink exceed 40°C (104°F). At higher temperatures, the enzymes in the honey can be destroyed.

4. Baking:

Acacia honey can serve as a healthy alternative to refined sugar in baking. Add it to cakes, cookies, and pastries for a natural sweetness and unique flavor.

Note! If you want to stir honey into your tea, it's best to keep your tea no warmer than 40°C (104°F). Once your tea is warmer than 40°C (104°F), the honey's enzymes can be destroyed.

Allergen information

Honingwinkel's acacia honey is not suitable for children under 1 year of age. It is also not suitable for people with allergies to bee products.

Shelf life

Honey doesn't actually have an expiration date, but its flavor can fade over time. Therefore, it's best consumed within two years.
