Meet the beekeeper

Meet our local beekeeper from Romania – the source of our pure Romanian honey. With no less than 850 beehives, spread across various nature reserves, he ensures a rich and diverse range of honey types. The bees collect their nectar depending on the location, creating natural and unique variations in taste. For example, the beehives for our Acacia honey are located in an area where nature is rich in flowering acacia trees, resulting in a particularly soft and clear honey.

Product description

Acacia honey is a type of honey produced by bees that collect their nectar from the white flowers of the acacia tree.

Taste

Acacia honey is known for its soft and unobtrusive flavour profile. This type of honey offers a delicate sweetness and a light floral undertone. It is a favourite among many due to its versatility and ability to harmonise with other flavours.

Texture

Honingwinkel's acacia honey is characterised by its pleasantly soft liquid consistency. It is easy to use and effortlessly combines with other ingredients. This quality makes it extremely suitable for a wide range of culinary preparations.

How to eat/use this honey

Honingwinkel's acacia honey offers a range of consumption possibilities. You can simply take a spoon of honey and ingest it directly. Let the honey melt on your tongue or swallow it. An alternative way is to mix the honey with your favourite yoghurt or meals, giving them a sweet and fragrant nuance.

Important! If you decide to add honey to your tea, make sure the temperature of the tea does not exceed 40°C. At temperatures above this point, the enzymes in the honey can break down, which can affect its nutritional value and properties.

Shelf life

In terms of shelf life, honey actually has no fixed expiry date. However, over time its taste may diminish. For the best quality experience, it is recommended to use the honey within two years of the purchase date.

Allergen information

Please note, Honingwinkel's acacia honey is not recommended for children under 1 year of age and individuals allergic to bee products. The use of honey can cause allergic reactions in these groups.
