Meet the beekeeper

Meet our local beekeeper from Belgium, where our Belgian honey comes from. With no less than 850 beehives, spread across various locations, he provides a diverse range of honey types. Depending on where the bees collect their nectar, different types of honey are produced. Summer honey is made and harvested in the summer, which makes the honey special. All the flowers that bloom in the summer can be tasted in the honey.

Product description

Summer honey is a type of honey where bees collect nectar from a large number of summer flowers. Because the bees collect nectar from different types of flowers, the color of the honey can vary per jar.

Taste

Summer honey has a taste that can vary greatly, as bees collect nectar from different types of summer flowers. The taste can range from mild to strong.

Texture

Summer honey has a creamy texture.

How to eat/use this honey?

You can eat summer honey in many different ways. For example, you can simply eat the honey with a spoon. You can then let the honey melt on your tongue, or swallow it directly. You can also choose to stir the honey into your yogurt or food.

Please note! If you want to stir the honey into your tea, it is advisable that your tea is not warmer than 40°C. As soon as your tea is warmer than 40°C, the enzymes in the honey can be lost.

Allergen information

Summer honey is not suitable for children under 1 year of age. In addition, it is also not suitable for people with an allergy to bee products. During pregnancy, honey is safe. The risk often warned about (botulism bacteria in honey) only applies to babies younger than 1 year, because their intestines are not yet strong enough to neutralize that bacteria.

Shelf life

Honey technically has no expiration date, but its flavor can fade over time. It is therefore best to consume the honey within two years.
