Product Description

Country of origin

New Zealand

Product description

Manuka honey is a type of honey produced by bees that collect nectar from the flowers of the Manuka shrub (Leptospermum scoparium). This shrub is native to New Zealand and is known for its distinctive flavors. The nectar from the Manuka flower results in a unique honey.

Certification

To ensure that Manuka honey meets the highest quality standards, it undergoes extensive independent testing in ISO 17025-accredited laboratories. These scientific tests are carefully conducted according to strict quality guidelines established by New Zealand authorities.

What makes this product even more special is that each jar of Mānuka honey features a QR code on the cap. Simply scan this code with your phone for instant access to all relevant certificates and test data. This ensures complete transparency about the quality and purity of Mānuka honey, allowing you to enjoy this product with complete confidence.

Taste

Manuka honey is known for its natural sweetness, often accompanied by subtle spicy notes and the occasional delicate hint of bitterness, creating a unique flavor profile.

Texture

Manuka honey has a thick, slow-flowing texture that can also be a little grainy depending on storage conditions

MGO value

"MGO 1000+" indicates the amount of methylglyoxal (MGO) in Mānuka honey. Methylglyoxal is a naturally occurring substance in Mānuka honey known for its properties. The number "1000+" indicates that Mānuka honey contains a very high MGO content, resulting in exceptionally potent honey.

How can you use or eat the honey?

In the morning: Take one teaspoon of Manuka honey, preferably 30 minutes to 1 hour before breakfast on an empty stomach.

In the evening: take one teaspoon of Manuka honey in the evening, before dinner or after a meal.

Shelf life

Honey is naturally shelf-stable and generally doesn't spoil quickly. While there's no set expiration date, the flavor can gradually evolve over time. For an optimal taste experience, we recommend consuming Manuka honey within two years of purchase.

Allergen information

Manuka honey is not suitable for children under one year of age and is also not suitable for people with an allergy to bee products.
