This honey comes from the Biesbosch nature reserve, where bees flock to various flowers, including the impatiens.

Taste

Biesbosch honey is soft and sweet in taste, where the strong flavour of the Balsam can be clearly tasted.

The regional honey from Biesbosch has a somewhat creamy texture.

How to use/eat the honey?

• Raw: Scoop some honey out of the jar with a spoon and let the honey melt on your tongue before swallowing.
• Sprinkled on foods: yogurt, oatmeal, pancakes, waffles, and toast for a delicious and healthy breakfast.
• As a spice: regional honey from Biesbosch can be used as a spice for meat, such as chicken, pork or lamb, or as a glaze for roasted vegetables.
• Paired with cheese: goat cheese, brie, or blue cheese, for a sweet and savory snack or appetizer.

Note! If you want to stir honey into your tea, it's best to keep your tea no warmer than 40°C (104°F). Once your tea is warmer than 40°C (104°F), the honey's enzymes can be destroyed.

Shelf life

Honey doesn't actually have an expiration date, but its flavor can fade over time. Therefore, it's best consumed within two years.
