Lavender honey is harvested by bees by collecting nectar from lavender blossoms. Lavender blossoms are a shrub with aromatic purple flowers. This shrub grows in various locations. For example, Honingwinkel's lavender honey comes from Bulgaria, but there's also lavender honey from countries like Spain.

Taste

Compared to floral honey and acacia honey, lavender honey has a relatively strong aromatic flavor. This flavor is both spicy and sweet.

How can Honingwinkel lavender honey be used/eaten?

Honingwinkel's lavender honey can be consumed in various ways. You can simply eat the honey with a spoon. You can then let it melt on your tongue, or swallow it immediately. You can also stir it into your yogurt or food.

NB! If you want to stir honey into your tea, it's best to keep it no warmer than 40°C (104°F). Once your tea is warmer than 40°C (104°F), the honey's enzymes can be destroyed.

Honingwinkel's lavender honey is not suitable for children under 1 year of age. It is also not suitable for people with allergies to bee products.

Shelf life

Honey doesn't actually have an expiration date, but its flavor can fade over time. Therefore, it's best consumed within two years.
