Product Description

Country of origin

The Netherlands

Meet the beekeeper

Learn more about our local beekeeper in the Netherlands, where our Dutch honey comes from. Depending on where the bees gather their nectar, different types of honey are produced. The hives where our Summer Honey comes from are scattered throughout the Dutch countryside. During the summer months, the bees gather nectar from a wide variety of flowers, such as clover, sunflowers, and linden. This gives the Summer Honey a mild, floral flavor with a fresh, light sweetness, perfect for the summer season.

Taste

What makes summer honey so special? The taste! Summer honey has a delicious, sweet flavor with subtle hints of flowers and fruit. It's a perfect addition to a variety of dishes and drinks.

Texture

The texture of summer honey is also striking. It usually has a liquid consistency, but this can vary depending on the region and the flowers the bees have visited. The color ranges from light yellow to deep golden brown.

How can I eat/use this honey?

  • Enjoy summer honey straight from the jar. Let the honey melt on your tongue and savor the rich flavor.
  • Stir a spoonful of summer honey into your favorite yogurt or cereal for a natural sweetness and nutritional boost.
  • Use summer honey as a sweetener in tea, but make sure the tea is not warmer than 40°C to preserve the enzymes in the honey.
  • Add summer honey to dressings or sauces to add a delicious sweet and spicy flavour to your dishes.

Allergen information

It's important to note that summer honey is not suitable for children under 1 year of age or for people with allergies to bee products. Bee pollen can cause allergic reactions in sensitive individuals. Exercise caution and consult a healthcare provider if you have any doubts about using summer honey.
