Organic manuka honey is produced by bees that feed on the nectar of the flowers of the manuka tree/shrub. This honey is known for its unique and powerful antibacterial properties, which are attributed to the presence of a specific substance called methylglyoxal (MGO).

How can you use or eat the honey?

You can enjoy Traay's organic manuka honey in many different ways. For example, you can simply eat the honey with a spoon. You can then let it melt on your tongue, or swallow it immediately. You can also stir it into your yogurt or food.

Note! If you want to stir honey into your tea, it's best to keep your tea no warmer than 40°C (104°F). Once your tea is warmer than 40°C (104°F), the honey's enzymes can be destroyed.

De Traay's organic manuka honey is not suitable for children under 1 year of age. It is also not suitable for people with allergies to bee products.

Shelf life

Honey doesn't actually have an expiration date, but its flavor can fade over time. Therefore, it's best consumed within two years.
