Product description

Rapeseed honey owes its name to the flower from which it is extracted, the rapeseed flower. This honey contains a high concentration of nectar from the rapeseed flowers. To produce this honey, beehives are placed in areas where rapeseed flowers grow in abundance. Because rapeseed flowers don't bloom year-round, rapeseed honey is quite scarce and not available year-round.

Taste

Rapeseed honey generally has a slightly bitter, but sometimes neutral, flavor. The flavor can vary depending on several factors, such as the specific flowers and the region from which the honey is sourced. The honey can have a subtle sweetness, with hints of floral notes.

Texture

De Traay rapeseed honey has a creamy texture. This means it's spreadable and easy to spread. Its creamy texture makes it ideal for use as a topping on bread, toast, crackers, and other treats.

How to eat/use the honey ?

De Traay rapeseed honey can be enjoyed in a variety of ways. You can simply enjoy the honey straight from the spoon. Let it melt slowly on your tongue or swallow it immediately. Another option is to stir the honey into yogurt or other dishes for a sweet and flavorful addition.

Allergen information

It's important to note that De Traay rapeseed honey is not suitable for children under 1 year of age. It may also cause an allergic reaction in people with bee product allergies. Consult a doctor if you have any concerns about using rapeseed honey due to allergies.

Shelf life

Honey generally has no expiration date, but its flavor can fade over time. To fully enjoy the flavor, it's recommended to consume the honey within two years. Store rapeseed honey in a cool, dry place, preferably tightly sealed.
