Flower honey, as the name suggests, is a floral honey made from different types of flowers. The bees themselves select the flowers, which means the flavor of the honey varies from jar to jar.

The season also has a strong effect on the honey's flavor. In winter, different types of flowers bloom than in autumn, spring, and summer.

Taste

Because flower honey is made from the nectar of various flowers, there's no single, definitive description of its flavor. Compared to other types of honey, flower honey is a relatively light and floral honey, perfect for both novice honey-eaters and connoisseurs.

Texture

Honingwinkel's flower honey has a silky, fluid texture.

You can eat Traay's flower honey in many different ways. For example, you can simply eat the honey with a spoon. You can then let it melt on your tongue or swallow it immediately. You can also choose to stir the honey into your yogurt or food.

Note! If you want to stir honey into your tea, it's best to keep your tea no warmer than 40°C (104°F). Once your tea is warmer than 40°C (104°F), the honey's enzymes can be destroyed.

De Traay's flower honey is not suitable for children under 1 year of age. It is also not suitable for people with allergies to bee products.

Shelf life

Honey doesn't actually have an expiration date, but its flavor can fade over time. Therefore, it's best consumed within two years.
