To make oak honey, bees collect honeydew from the leaves of oak, holm oak, or cork oak forests. The difference between "normal honey" and oak honey is that with "normal honey," bees collect nectar from flowers. They then use this nectar to make honey. With oak honey, bees don't collect nectar from flowers, but rather collect honeydew from the leaves of the oak tree.

The premium oak honey from Spain has a rich caramel flavor and can taste slightly sweet.

Note! If you want to stir honey into your tea, it's best to keep your tea no warmer than 40°C (104°F). Once your tea is warmer than 40°C (104°F), the honey's enzymes can be destroyed.

Shelf life

Honey doesn't actually have an expiration date, but its flavor can fade over time. Therefore, it's best consumed within two years.
