Product Description

Country of origin

Turkey

Product description

Pine honey, a rare gem, is not extracted from nectar like other honeys, but from the precious honeydew. This special honeydew is produced by sap-sucking aphids, after which bees transform it into a dark, amber-colored delight.

Taste

Pine honey is distinguished by:

Earthy Tones: The flavor has earthy and woody notes, reminiscent of pine forests.

Subtle Sweetness: Despite the earthy notes, there is a soft sweetness that is not overpowering.

Complexity: Tasters may also detect hints of floral and spicy notes, making the flavor complex and captivating.

Texture

Liquid with Body: It's liquid enough to pour but has enough body to stay on bread and other dishes.

Slow Crystallization: Pine honey crystallizes more slowly than other types, meaning it stays liquid longer.

Natural Grains: Sometimes small granules contain the honey, which makes the texture interesting.

How to eat/use the honey ?

  • Unleash your creativity and discover endless possibilities with pine honey. Enjoy it with a simple spoon, let it melt on your tongue, or swallow it right away!

  • Add a teaspoon of pine honey to your yogurt, cereal, or muesli to add a natural and delicious sweetness to your daily meals.

  • Create culinary masterpieces by using honey as a flavoring in dressings, marinades, and sauces.

  • Experience a unique tea experience by adding a spoonful of pine honey to your favorite hot beverage. Make sure the tea is no hotter than 40°C (104°F) to preserve the valuable enzymes.

Shelf life

Although honey doesn't have an official expiration date, we recommend enjoying this delicious pine honey within two years. This way, it will retain its optimal flavor and aroma!
