Product Description

Product description

Buckwheat honey is produced by bees that collect nectar from the blossoms of buckwheat plants. These bees are typically found in regions where buckwheat grows. The nectar they collect is processed by the bees into honey, with a characteristic flavor reminiscent of buckwheat.

Taste

The flavor of buckwheat honey is deep and distinctive. Generally, buckwheat honey has a rich, earthy taste with strong notes of nuts and spices. The honey often has a dark amber color and a complex flavor profile, making it both savory and sweet. The flavor is often described as robust and nutty, and it makes an interesting addition to various culinary creations.

Texture

Buckwheat honey has a thick, spreadable texture that makes it perfect for a variety of honey recipes. This pure and authentic honey spreads easily and blends into both sweet and savory dishes. Despite its thicker texture, it retains a rich consistency, making it a versatile addition to any kitchen.

How to eat/use the honey ?

Our Honingwinkel buckwheat honey is delicious to savor straight from the spoon. You'll immediately experience the rich flavor and creamy texture. Whether you use it in baking or simply eat it plain, this honey is always a delight.

Note! If you plan to stir honey into your tea, make sure it's no warmer than 40 degrees Celsius. Temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius can destroy the enzymes in the honey.

Shelf life

Although honey has an unlimited shelf life, its flavor can change subtly over time. For an optimal taste experience, we recommend using the honey within two years of purchase.

Allergen information

Honingwinkel's buckwheat honey is not suitable for children under 1 year of age or those allergic to bee products.
