Product Description

Country of origin

Italy

Product description

Sulla honey is a type of honey produced by bees that feed on the sulla plant, a plant that grows naturally in central Italy. The honey from the sulla plant comes from the flowers that give the Maremma landscape a purple-red hue between April and June.

Taste

Sulla honey has a mild yet distinctly sweet flavor. A hint of acidity perfectly balances the sweetness.

Texture

The Sulla honey is characterized by its liquid consistency.

How can this honey be eaten/used?

The Sulla honey from Italy offers a wide range of applications :

  1. Pure pleasure: Taste Sulla honey in its purest form, straight from the jar, to experience the full, rich flavor and texture.
  2. Culinary creations: Use Sulla honey as a delicious topping on toast, pancakes, waffles, or crackers. Combine it with fresh fruit for a culinary treat.
  3. Flavoring: Add Sulla honey to salad dressings, marinades, and sauces for a subtle sweetness. Keep in mind that high temperatures can break down the natural enzymes in the honey. Therefore, add the honey after the sauce or dressing has cooled.

      Shelf life

Honey is a unique food that has an almost unlimited shelf life and rarely spoils. While it doesn't have a strict expiration date, its flavor can subtly evolve over time. For the best taste experience, we recommend using honey within two years of purchase.
