Organic lavender honey is extracted from the nectar of lavender blossoms ( Lavendula ). This solid Spanish lavender honey is golden brown in color and characterized by a rather strong, spicy flavor. This honey has a calming effect and is beneficial for sleep.

Lavender honey has a thick, syrupy texture similar to other types of raw honey.

How can you use or eat the honey?

You can eat lavender honey in different ways:

• Raw: Eat the lavender honey straight from the jar.
• Tea: Add some lavender honey to your tea.
• Dishes: Lavender honey can also be used in preparing dishes.

Note! If you want to stir honey into your tea, it's best to keep your tea no warmer than 40°C (104°F). Once your tea is warmer than 40°C (104°F), the honey's enzymes can be destroyed.

De Traay lavender honey is not suitable for children under 1 year of age. It is also not suitable for people with allergies to bee products.

Shelf life

Honey doesn't actually have an expiration date, but its flavor can fade over time. Therefore, it's best consumed within two years.
