Product description

Lavender honey is extracted from the nectar of lavender blossoms ( Lavendula ). Bulgarian lavender honey is golden brown in color and characterized by a fairly strong, spicy flavor.

Taste

Compared to floral honey and acacia honey, lavender honey has a relatively strong aromatic flavor. This flavor is both spicy and sweet.

Texture

The texture of lavender honey is quite soft and fluid.

How to eat/use the honey ?

Honingwinkel's lavender honey can be consumed in various ways. You can simply eat the honey with a spoon. You can then let it melt on your tongue, or swallow it immediately. You can also stir it into your yogurt or food.

NB!  If you want to stir honey into your tea, it's best to keep it no warmer than 40°C (104°F). Once your tea is warmer than 40°C (104°F), the honey's enzymes can be destroyed.

Allergen information

Honingwinkel's lavender honey is not suitable for children under 1 year of age. It is also not suitable for people with allergies to bee products.

Shelf life

Honey doesn't actually have an expiration date, but its flavor can fade over time. Therefore, it's best consumed within two years.
