Product Description

Country of origin

The Netherlands

Product description

Beeswax is produced by honeybees and is a pure, filtered bee product. Bees have special glands in their abdomens that convert honey into wax, a process known as "bee sweating." The resulting beeswax has a yellow color due to the presence of propolis. Propolis also has antibacterial and purifying properties.

Texture

Beeswax has a sticky, waxy texture, with a yellow or brown color and a soft, sweet scent. The material is pliable and malleable, making it ideal for various applications, such as candle making, woodworking, and cosmetics.

How to use the honey ?

Beeswax is a multifunctional product! It's used in candle making, creams, woodworking, food coatings, and more.

Shelf life

To optimally store beeswax, the following guidelines are important:

  • Cool and Dry: Store beeswax in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. High temperatures can melt beeswax and change its texture.

  • Airtight: Place beeswax in an airtight container or bag to prevent it from absorbing dust, dirt, or moisture.

  • Dark: Although beeswax is not sensitive to light like some other substances, it is still advisable to store it in a dark place to prevent discoloration.

  • Keep away from strong odors: Beeswax tends to absorb odors, so avoid storing it near strongly scented substances to avoid unwanted odor changes.

Allergen information

If you don't experience any allergic reactions when using products containing beeswax, you can safely use this ingredient in your daily routine. It's important to always check the ingredients list of products and avoid potential allergens if you have allergies.

Honey doesn't actually have an expiration date, but its flavor can fade over time. Therefore, it's best consumed within two years.
