Homemade Honey Lemonades
Looking for a thirst-quencher without refined sugar? These honey lemonades are fresh, healthy, and full of natural flavors. Perfect for summer days or as an alternative to soda with meals.
1. Classic Lemon-Honey Lemonade
Ingredients (for 1 liter)
- 3 lemons (freshly squeezed)
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 1 liter cold water (or sparkling water)
- Ice cubes and lemon slices for garnish
Preparation
- Squeeze the lemons and mix the juice with the honey in a pitcher.
- Stir well until the honey is completely dissolved.
- Add the cold water and mix again.
- Serve with ice and lemon slices.
2. Mint-Cucumber Lemonade with Honey
Ingredients
- 1/2 cucumber, sliced
- Handful fresh mint leaves
- 2 tablespoons honey
- Juice of 1 lime
- 750 ml cold water
Preparation
- Lightly muddle the mint leaves with a spoon to release their aroma.
- Add cucumber, lime juice, and honey.
- Pour in the water and stir well.
- Let steep in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes. Serve chilled.
3. Honey-Strawberry Lemonade
Ingredients
- 200 g strawberries (fresh or frozen)
- 3 tablespoons honey
- Juice of 2 lemons
- 750 ml cold water or sparkling water
Preparation
- Puree the strawberries with a blender or hand blender.
- Strain the puree if you want a smooth drink.
- Mix with lemon juice, honey, and water.
- Serve with ice and optionally some mint or extra strawberries.
Tip: Adjust the amount of honey to taste. Use blossom honey for a mild taste or thyme honey for an herbal touch.
