Is Royal Jelly Healthy?

Royal Jelly has been called various things over time. Royal jelly, royal jelly, or bee milk are all names for the same product. Royal Jelly isn't known for its many names, but for its unique properties. Royal Jelly helps bees develop into adults and even queen bees. This has also led to increased interest in this product, as with such a powerful effect, the white mixture must be packed with nutrients. You can read whether that's actually the case in our blog.

What's in Royal Jelly?

Royal Joyal is a completely natural product. It is produced by worker bees. It is a secretion from the glands in the throat. It is a pure product and therefore not mixed with other substances. The Royal Jelly is produced to help larvae grow into adult bees, and the queen bee consumes it throughout her life. This makes her the largest bee in the colony. It is therefore one of the substances that makes the existence of bees possible. In total, a single colony can produce up to 500 grams of Royal Jelly per season. The surplus Royal Jelly is extracted every 72 hours to ensure its quality. It is therefore a very special and scarce product.

The nutrients of Royal Jelly

Because Royal Jelly is a purely natural product, it has a unique nutritional composition. Like many other natural products, it consists largely of water, ranging from 60% to 70%. Royal Jelly also contains a relatively high percentage of glucose, which can vary from 4% to 8%. The product also contains a variety of B vitamins, including B1, B2, B6, B3, B5, B8, B11, and B12. The remaining nutritional content of Royal Jelly is sugar, fructose, sucrose, protein, and fat.

So is Royal Jelly healthy?

Of course, the above substances are part of a varied daily diet, so eating Royal Jelly is a good addition to this. However, just like honey and propolis, many people also use these products for other reasons.

Why Royal Jelly Isn't Dangerous

There are rumors circulating in some circles that Royal Jelly is dangerous. However, this isn't the case for many people. Like many other bee products, such as honey and propolis, an allergic reaction can occur. Therefore, if you've already had an allergic experience with honey or propolis, for example, we recommend not using this product. When using it for the first time, be sure to test a small amount of Royal Jelly on your skin to see if you're allergic. If you don't experience any adverse effects, you can safely use the product as long as you continue using the recommended dosage.
